SOphie Long



Sophie is an internationally trained writer, performer and improviser. She has trained and performed at The Second City Chicago, iO Theatre, UCB and The Neo-Futurists among others. She performed at The Chicago Improv Festival with the Improvised Jane Austen and around Sydney with the improv troupes Panda Smackdown and Impulse Factory. She has also trained as an actor at The Actor’s Centre, Screenwise and NIDA.


A regular performer around Sydney, her latest one woman show Almost a Psychopath had a sell out run at the 2018 Sydney Comedy Festival. In 2017 she was hand picked to be part of the Sydney Comedy Festival’s 2017 FRESH program for the best emerging comedians, with her one woman comedy horror show The Wendigo: A Comedy with Teeth. She has performed at Bespoken Word and was the co-creator, and regular performer at the storytelling night Fabulous Monster. Her web series credits include A Shared House (writer) and I Know You Are (actor).


Sophie is also an improv teacher and coach, where she helps her students find their confidence and unique comedic voice. She has also trained in Psychotherapy, and uses her passion for art therapy to teach improv for anxiety management, and wellbeing and confidence development.
