Why all women performers?
Ever been to a comedy night and there was only one, or no women on the line up? And then thought to yourself, “That’s weird - I know so many funny women!” Feeling a similar way, the co-producers created an all women night where these funny women could get together and showcase their talents.
How did What She Said start?
What She Said started in early 2018 when co-producers Sophie Long and Naomi Mourra were looking for open mic nights to perform their material. Noticing a lack of nights specifically for women, they decided to start their own. Alex Potter joined as the third co-producer soon after, and What She Said had their opening night in April 2018 to a sold out crowd. What She Said has since continued producing weekly shows featuring some of the foremost national and international comedians. Read more on our About page!
