ABOUT

What She Said started in early 2018 when co-producers Sophie Long and Naomi Mourra were looking for open mic nights to perform their material. Noticing a lack of nights specifically for female comedians, they decided to start their own. Alex Potter joined as the third co-producer soon after, and What She Said hosted their opening night in April, drawing a sold out crowd of over 100 people. Since then, What She Said has gone to on to host weekly women's comedy at The Chippo Hotel, showcasing some of the best national and international comedians while bringing in weekly audiences of 50-100+.

With our performers ranging in experience from total first timers to seasoned professionals, we create a fun and supportive space where women can showcase their creativity and flex their funny muscles. What She Said is not just about displaying the great talent of our performers, it's also about creating a community where people connect with others, support emerging performers and wrap up their weekend with a night of laughs.

If you would like to perform with us, you can email us here. We are open to all levels of experience (including no experience!) and curate each show to ensure you have a fun and super supported night.
